Mix and Match

I may not someone who loves shopping to the max, of course, with money as the declining factor. I buy clothes for like, 5-6 times a year? Yeah, and I recently am kind of addicted to shopping online. I know I received some disappointing items but still, the enthusiasm of shopping on the clouds of net is super easy. What more anticipating is, waiting for the parcel to arrive home. The only problem I have been facing buying items online is, the parcel delivered during nobody’s home. This will result the postmen to leave you a form which allows you to collect the parcel at the poslaju centre and for God’s sake, Shah Alam poslaju centre is at Glenmarie!

Alright, let’s get back to the topic of the day. Mix and Match? Cliché term of the century huh? Well cliché or not, it is practical. Few months back, I had to remove some of the clothes from my drawer as it has reached its maximum capacity. Whoa I never realized I’ve got so many clothes that almost unfit the drawer (though it is a small drawer). So I made the drawer clearance by transferring the clothes I thought I won’t wear anymore (though the fact that I had never worn some of them) to my travelling bag.

Several things I realized from clearing the drawer:

  1. I have many clothes that are too small for my size
  2. I did not put much thought before buying clothes
  3. I wasted most amount of money at clothing
  4. I regret on buying some clothes but I know I will repeat the mistake

As so the bag has been untouched for months, I felt like opening it just now. Actually, I felt like trying clothes in the first place, it has been awhile since I left the routine. Remembering those schooling years, my sister and I were really so much into that clothes-trying routine. We did it just for fun and become exhausted of trying at the end of the day. Well, I guess a lot of girls are having such kind of hobby.

So I was trying the outfit, I apparently used mix and match technique that I always practice. Tiba-tiba rasa macam cantek plak baju-baju aku ni. Alright, I’ve got some "new" clothes to wear after this. But still, the clothes remain in the travelling bag because the drawer is not spacious enough for them.

So guys and girls, let's not get upset with a limited budget to dress up (sounds like me). Just mix and match whatever you have got in the closet of yours, you sure will discover some "latest" items from your collection. Surprise!!

3 in 1 movie review

It has been awhile since I last went to the cinema. It was not a good film which it’s killing me to kill the time inside the hall. In fact, it’s one of the less enjoyable movies I ever watched throughout my life, not my cuppa tea perhaps. Fine, actually it makes me feel guilty to reveal that appalling film but I guess I just have the right to do so. It was starred by a high credibility actor, Nicolas Cage but less fortunate for him that the film turned out to be some garbage. I comprehend the intention of the director to make it a solid action movie, but I don’t know if it is just me or the film is a bitchy action story. Thus, at the end of the day, I gave Drive Angry 2 stars out of 5. If I was watching the movie on the tv or the lappy, I sure would have shut them down before it is playing more than half an hour.

Since I go out less frequent nowadays, I have got some bunch of time to be wasted at home. Yesterday, I watched two movies from my lappy. Alright, the movies were actually being transferred by pendrive from Jannah’s. I don’t really keep stuff in my lappy, since it was formatted.

In the evening, I started off with Black Swan. A story about a ballerina pursuing her ambition to become the Swan Queen (one major character in ballet art perhaps). She succeeded at getting the position but being grown up to be a perfectionist, Nina experienced some mental disorder. The psychotic character has obviously made the story alive and remarkable. It was starred by Natalie Portman, one world’s real beauty and Vincent Cassel(some French, quite has a charm). In the initial, I thought it was a horror movie but turned out to be some thriller. It received 4 stars from my personal point of view.

At night, instead of finishing a bundle of assignments, I watched another film, Letters to Juliet. As the title suggests, yeah it is produced for romantic drama comedy genre. Being set up in the province of Verona, Italy, it really has captured my eyes to stay until the end of the story. Apart from good looking stars, the film really has promoted the gorgeousness of Italy. Despite having a simple storyline, it suits my preference well. So I gave it 4 stars. Okayy, I still am imagining myself spending vacation in Verona. Very lovely.

The Gift

5.38p.m - 12.02a.m. How many hours of them? Well, that was the duration I finished reading this novel, The Gift by Cecilia Ahern. It was not the total duration before adding to another one hour I spent reading the first 50 pages yesterday.

Surprisingly, it was my second attempt of reading the novel. The first was few months ago, which I gave up on the tenth page. As the nature of Cecilia Ahern’s writing style, the tardiness just challenged my not-so-much reading patience. I put on the second attempt considering my language capability that has gotten rusty. Okay, it was because of the comment thrown by the lecturer after my group presentation. I know it was not me did the major mistakes or errors, but I somehow felt the trace of it. The painful comment has actually has a blessing in disguise effect.

For novels’ diehard fans, Ahern’s especially, they sure have read the story. It used to cost a bomb during its early publication, being wrapped in an exclusive thick cover and golden reddish ribbon defined the elevated charge. But it’s never mind as it received fairly some bombs in return lol.

For me, I’m not yet could be considered a real reader. The total number of novels I read few years back could actually be counted by fingers, hand fingers. Plus, I only read them with the concern of brushing up my language proficiency. The pleasure of reading followed by then.

For the time being, I tried Ahern’s and Kinsella’s most. I prefer their writing because of the leisure fairytale theme. Yes I am a typical girl with slightly higher sensitivity and emotions than men possessed. But mind you, I showed less emotions than most men do. I have them but I just do not display them simply.

Alright, let’s put some review on The Gift. Personally I give it 4 out of 5 stars. It loses 1 star for its tardiness writing. Some people call it artistic, I call it tardy. I skipped the paragraphs which she was actually trying to describe an avenue. An avenue during Christmas Eve or something. She put too much effort on that I guess. That should be the reason I always prefer Kinsella’s.

But, really, it was a gift. A gift in the form of life lesson. I learnt a lot from it. I even shed some tears upon reading the scenes’ Lou’s cleaning Bud’s poo and when he spoke to Lucy how to behave when he is not around and some time during he was displaying love to his wife. Tacing okayyy.

So, people, don’t wait any longer. Go grab The Gift from the nearest bookshops. Go borrow The Gift from your novel lover’s friends. Like I did. Come on, I You shall not be reading a RM79.90 novel more than once right? So don’t waste money, love. Let it go for charity instead. Both you and the friend you borrowed the novel from dapat pahala.

Pancakes, the perfect day starter.

Pancakes. What a nice start of the day! I set the alarm clock at 9.00a.m. but as usual, the eyes just didn’t allow me to open them that early so I continued resting them until..1.15p.m.? Yeah that is so me during the weekend. I don’t know if it was a sound sleeping, considering the dropping sound of raindrops and the smell of the water from clouds. If you know me, I shall be the person who loves rain so much, yes rain, raining, rainy days. If it was an outing day, cloudy sky will do the best. I love rain and rainy days and it was raining while I was sleeping but I had too many dreams until the effect of rain was hardly felt. I dreamt of something like.. I am buying a lot of clothes via phone but I could see the counter of the shop(how dreaming it was) but I had not enough money to buy all clothes I chose so I had to rechoose and the story ended by me waking up from sleep.

As soon as waking up, I went to the toilet for some peeing. Why must we urinate soon after waking up from the sleep? Well, common sense lah kan. I we have been sleeping for almost 12 hours, surely some fluid from the whole body have flowed to the urinary bladder, waiting to be peed. Even during awake, I we peed for like, once within 2 hours? Or 1 hour if the mood of drinking is there.

Wait, what about the pancakes just now? Oh, that..Well, recently pancakes have become my current temptation. I shall be thinking of pancakes during the lecturer is lecturing in the class, during commenting on facebook, during after performing solah, and surely during the moment I’m hungry to the death. It was all started by my one housemate, made pancakes for us somewhere around two weeks ago. It’s not that tasty but I likeeeeee it. Since that, I made them by myself. I tried both, the fluffy and not fluffy ones. Obviously, I like the not fluffy ones, it tastes good to me. Meanwhile, even though I like the not fluffy ones, but I still make some fluffy pancakes sometimes. Why? I love the look of fluffy pancakes, especially the look when it is getting all fluffy on the pan!

So, did I make some pancakes soon after waking up this morning afternoon? Sure no, I have some blueberry cheese tarts to be finished in the fridge. But Jannah did it, my other housemate. There are a bunch of them on the plate, still warm and she offered me some. Surprisingly, it’s the best homemade pancakes I ever tasted, to me lah. Because of the thin yet tender texture, I simply love it. She said she put quite some amount of butter, perhaps which made the pancakes taste better. I took 3 small slices, very small okay. Feel like eating more, but segan sket as it is she making them. Maybe she wishes to have the second round meal. Ok, just forget it. I have my blueberry cheese tarts and some scones. Yummyyy……………………..……(but I want pancakes)
